"multiple" (the default) emits the current value and then follows distinct source pushes.
"one" emits only the current value. Hydration temporarily uses "one" when it must resolve a
single server value without leaving a live observation running.
Ownership and lifetime
This is an Effect Context reference with a default value, not mutable global state. Supplying a
value changes computed observation only in the provided Effect context; the observing Scope
still owns any subscription created by "multiple".
